We love pears, the Korean ones are the best,
but American pears are okay, too.
After eating pears for few days,
I got only two- three of them left in my refrigerator.
So anyway, today I made blended pears for later use.
I can use it for sweet sauces for meats, like LA (Korean style) ribs,
or steamed ribs later!
So let's get started.
Frozen Blended Pears for Sweet Sauces
Prep Time 5-10 Minutes
Cooking Time 1-5 Minutes
Ingredients
2-3 Pears - depending on your freezer space, and amount of leftover pears.
Container - I used ice cube tray for freezing.
Blender / Mixer - blender, mixer, anything you can blend with.
Instructions
1. Prepare the ingredients

Chop, or dice pears into little pieces.
Cut away the flesh from the core of the pears,
remove the seeds and core.
Drop the pear chunks into a blender.
2. Blend pears

Blend pear chunks in the blender.
If it's not consistent, try few seconds more.
And add some water if it doesn't blend well, it will help.
3. Scoop the blended pears into a container

Lastly, scoop out pears from blender.
Fill them in small, or large container.
I personally prefer ice cube tray for
freezing blended apples, pears, garlics and onions.
It's just easy for me to clean the mess later,
and when I need to use, I just grab few cubes out of bag.

Cover them with a lid, if not, use plastic wrap for that.
The reason why I cover them up is of course, for preventing spills,
but also preventing absorbing all bad smells from freezer. :)
Anyway, store them in the freezer for a few hours, or a day.
4. Store in freezer

If you have other kinds of way to store it, do it that way!
I need to use the ice cube tray later,
so I just store them in a freezer safe bag.
I wrote down '배' which means pears in Korean.
Just making sure my husband doesn't eat them like ice cubes, haha.
Now that I have frozen pear pieces,
I should get some beef ribs for cooking Korean style ribs!
